The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), in collaboration with Punjab government, launched biometric verification facility for buying and selling province-registered vehicles on PakID mobile app.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Nadra said: "The seller and buyer should get their biometric verification done at home and go to the relevant office to complete the transfer process.
"Vehicle owners can easily process the application, along with biometric verification from the comfort of their homes rather than visiting the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department in Punjab."
According to Nadra, if any vehicle owner faces difficulty in applying online on PakID mobile application, then the applicant can contact the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department in Punjab for further details, along with assistance.
Last week, the authority launched a unified digital platform, named 'Nishan Pakistan', which is aimed at advancing how government bodies and regulated private-sector organisations verify identities.
'Nishan Pakistan' replaces that patchwork approach with a single, web-based portal that allows organisations to digitally onboard, subscribe to and access Nadra’s identity verification services. The platform standardises the entire process, offering secure, regulation-driven and fully traceable access to identity data.
