Eid 2026: SSGC announces gas supply plan for Karachi

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Thursday announced the gas supply schedule for Eid al-Fitr in Karachi, extending its heartfelt greetings to its esteemed customers on the auspicious occasion.

SSGC spokesperson Salman Ahmed Siddiqui, in a notification, said that the management is taking all necessary steps to ensure gas supply to its domestic and commercial customers during the Eid-ul-Fitr festivities.

The company ensured that gas supply will not be disrupted and SSGC will supply gas continuously throughout the night and the next day, up to 12:00 midnight.

Eid gas timing in Karachi

SSGC, in a press release, said that in order to maintain good pressure and balance the gas line pack, the following gas supply schedule has been arranged during Eid in Pakistan.

Night between the first and second day of Eid

  • Gas supply will be suspended from 12am midnight to 06am. Gas will be available from 06am to 12am midnight

On the night between the second and third days of Eid

  • Gas supply will be suspended from 12am midnight to 06am. Gas will be available from 06am to 12am midnight.

From the third day of Eid onwards

  • Gas will be available from 06am to 10pm. After this, gas supply will be restored as per the pre-Ramadan gas load management schedule.

SSGC said: "If customers face any problem regarding gas supply, they should immediately contact our 24-hour helpline '1199'."

Pakistan Eid date

Pakistanis will celebrate Eid al-Fitr on March 21 (Saturday) as Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee received no credible testimony of Shawwal moon sighting from any part of the country today (March 19).
