WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature, named 'Scheduled Messages' that will let users set a specific date and time for messages to be sent automatically within chats.

WABetaInfo reported that the feature — once launched — will allow users to create a message, then choose a preferred delivery time, and let the app send it automatically when the scheduled moment arrives, without requiring any further action.

How does 'Scheduled Messages' feature work on WhatsApp?

It is important to remember that you don't have to worry about the security of the feature, as 'Scheduled Messages' will remain queued until dispatch and will appear in a dedicated section within the chat information screen.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users can easily find the 'Scheduled Messages' option in every chat from where they will be able to view, manage, or delete pending messages before they are sent.

However, if you have deleted any of the scheduled message, don't worry, scheduled message will not notify the recipient, as the message is removed prior to delivery.

The feature tracker said that the upcoming feature is expected to function in both individual and group chats, allowing users to plan birthday wishes, reminders, announcements, or work-related updates in advance.

The 'Scheduled Messages' feature remains under development, which will be released to the beta users before public.
