At the Meta Connect 2025 event, Meta unveiled its latest lineup of smart glasses, with the premier product being the Meta Ray-Ban Display—an item designed to bring technology from the science fiction world to everyday life.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display is a premium smart glasses model, priced at $799, with a 600x600 pixel waveguide display built into the right lens.

Meta Ray-Ban Display  includes a Neural Band, a wrist-worn device that detects hand movements for operations such as selecting buttons, controlling applications, or even texting.

Moreover, Meta reports that the Neural Band has an 18-hour battery life and is water resistant for all-day use.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent the most of his keynote discussing how these glasses could complete mundane tasks that we currently do on our smartphones, such as replying to a text, sorting notifications, and doing quick searches, while being hands-free.

The device is also equipped with an AI assistant that ingests audio and video data to provide useful suggestions displayed on the glasses, or they can be relayed through built-in speakers. The glasses will be offered in two colours, black and sand, and will be released to retail on September 30.
