Instagram launches AI-powered voice note filters: Here's how it works

Instagram has officially launched a new feature, named 'AI Voice Effect', in direct messages (DMs), allowing users to add filters to their voice notes.

Meta-owned photo-sharing platform, in a press release, said users will be able to choose from nearly eight voice effects in any chat window. 'AI Voice Effect' is the latest addition to the social media platform's suite of AI features.

How does 'AI Voice Effect' feature work on Instagram?

Instagram, in a statement, said that users can add filters to their voice notes while sending them to others on the platform. Users can select from a list of eight AI voice effects, including

1. Chipmunk
2. Demon
3. Alien
4. Robot
5. Underwater
6. Stadium
7. Wobble
8. Fishbowl

Moreover, the company allows users to switch back to the unadulterated version of the voice note by clicking on the Original button. Instagram users can easily check the name of the voice filter that was added by clicking on the voice note. The recipients can also tap on it to mimic the AI Voice Effect before sending it to your friends or any family member.

5. You can also preview the voice note before sending the voice note to others.
