Galaxy S26 camera upgrade leaks: Two improvements revealed

Samsung is set to host its annual Galaxy Unpacked Event 2026 to showcase new devices and major software advancements aimed at improving the user experience.

The company is highly anticipated to bring significant camera hardware upgrades in its Galaxy S26 series. Tipster Ice Universe indicated that the Galaxy S26 series will use Samsung’s new noise reduction algorithm, which significantly reduces noise in images and videos.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series camera rumours

The Galaxy S26 series — which include Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra — will provide a brighter, cleaner, and clearer camera quality with improved details. 

The tipster claimed that the Galaxy S26's camera is set at 24MP mode, user will get high resolution, improved detail, and sharp clarity in the image, even when zooming in.

The Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ are expected to feature a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS.

The Galaxy S26 series is likely to get 12MP selfie camera with 'Autofocus'. Users would be able to capture 4K 60fps Super HDR videos using all their cameras and 8K 30fps HDR videos using the primary camera. They can also record videos in the APV codec which offers higher quality in the same file size and is easier for post-production.

When is Galaxy Unpacked event 2026?

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event 2026 is scheduled for February 25 in San Francisco, California. The keynote will start at 10am PT, translating to 11pm in Pakistan.
