Apple is highly anticipated to launch iOS 27 in its annual event, Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026, with new advancements, bug fixes, and many other features to provide iPhone, iPad, and MacBook users with a better operating system (OS) experience.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, iOS 27 will be unveiled at WWDC this year, and while it will deliver further Apple Intelligence improvements, the event will be "a fairly muted affair this year."

What to expect from iOS 27 update?

Apple iOS 27 update will apparently be a "more personalised Siri with a chatbot interface," as previously rumoured, but the software platforms will generally focus on performance improvements, bug fixes, and fine-tuning the design.

Gurman further added that developers can expect the first beta version of iOS 26.4 to be released during the week of February 23. This, he stated, will include "some components" related to the long-awaited improvements to Siri, hinting at Apple's efforts to enhance its voice assistant's functionality.

WWDC 2026 date

According to multiple rumours, WWDC 2026 is expected to be announced nearby the end of March, and take place in the first or second week of June.

The major new software updates unveiled at the event will probably be available to developers in beta immediately after the keynote address, and release to the public in the fall.
