The Punjab government has authorised the installation of a cutting-edge digital profiling system, a significant step in improving security and fighting organised crime.

With the digital profiling system in place, authorities will be able to better identify and keep an eye on online threats.

The government has allocated Rs204.4 million for the first phase and Rs130m for the second phase of the project, which makes up a total value of Rs334.4 million.

High-profile people, groups, and ethnicities will all undergo comprehensive digital profiling under the Digital Profiling System.

Using video analytics, open-source intelligence, and sophisticated data archiving capabilities, it will collect vital information on global regions, topics, and significant international developments.

The Punjab Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Centre will oversee the system's operation, which will improve the province's capacity to recognise and neutralise both internal and foreign threats.

Security agencies will be able to act quickly and efficiently by improving the detection of organised crime, cybercrimes, and terrorism.

The government's dedication to using technology to enhance security and public safety is demonstrated by this initiative.

Citizens in Punjab will live in a safer environment, thanks to the Digital Profiling System, which is set to play a significant role in upholding law and order.
