In a surprising feat that hints at the potential of IT and AI professionals in Pakistan, Mirza Abdullah Tariq, a talented IT expert from Gujrat, Pakistan, has won the Trae AI IDE: Zero Limits Hackathon by developing an innovative AI-powered job recommender tool, Access Jobs.
Tariq secured first place in the competition, competing against 879 teams from around the world.
Aaryab Panta from Nepal, Hammad Zaheer from Pakistan, and Monching Desierto from the Philippines were the teammates under Tariq's international Pathfinders Team, developing Access Jobs in just 48 hours.
This incredible, globally recognised feat of Tariq earned him and his team a prize of $3,000.
What is Access Jobs?
Access Jobs is an AI-powered software designed to connect job seekers with opportunities that suit them the most. The job recommendation tool uses advanced machine learning and explainable AI.
Citing Tariq’s LinkedIn post, ProPakistani reported that Access Jobs allows users to create detailed profiles that include personal information, experience, education, and career preferences, including expected salary.
Once the profile completion is completed, the portal recommends jobs tailored to each user’s profile and helps track job applications and interviews while providing a skills analysis.
The notable feature of Tariq's job finder also lets employers create a separate profile to find the right talent.
The platform's frontend was built using React 18, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, while the backend utilises Django, Django Rest Framework, and Python.
At the automation front, the AI and machine learning components include the Novita AI API for resume parsing and custom recommendation algorithms.
Access Jobs, the newcomer job finding tool, is currently in the demo phase and is set for a full-scale launch once it secures additional support.
